- The manuscripts in this digital collection have been produced in association with the Perdita Project based at the University of Warwick and Nottingham Trent University. "Perdita" means "lost woman" and the aim of the Project has been to identify and describe all manner of manuscript writing by early modern women from diaries to works of drama. This section contains reproductions of manuscripts from the Folger Shakespeare Library, comprising prayer books, diaries, commonplace books, journals and account books, and transcriptions of poetry, sermons and other religious texts by English and Scottish women.
