Funding Higher Education in Sub-Saharan Africa addresses this gap. Drawing on in-depth, evidence-based research from nine countries including Botswana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe, this volume sets out a comprehensive analysis of financing patterns currently being adopted by institutions across Eastern and Southern Africa to help accommodate the rapidly growing number of enrolments and massification of education.
