- Cronin, James, collector.
- Description
- Archive/Manuscript — 3 scrapbooks
- Summary

This “Service” volume has covers from air fields and bases around the country, as well as patrol squadrons, torpedo stations, even Civilian Conservation Corp camps, various units covers, officers clubs, and covers from different naval vessels, US and British. The other two books are mostly devoted to covers from various bars, cafes, restaurants, and hotels throughout California, with some ancillary product covers such as alcohol, toothpaste, insurance, banks, razors, and chewing gum. This assembled collection provides a good representative sampling of the graphics and text used in these little pocket-sized advertisements, manufactured by a variety of firms, including Diamond, Federal, Lion, Ohio, Universal Match, and more.
