Improving care and health course for hospitalized elderly patients is one of the tasks set out in the "Rapport du parcours de santé des PAERPA" (elderly people with or at risk of functional decline). Identification of the needs of a mobile geriatric team (MGT) intervention for the patients remain difficult in emergency department and in medical surgical units. A screening tool is needed and should be simple and fast to use. Its implementation implies that it is efficient and previously validated. The aim of our study was to evaluate the validity and predictive performances of the Triage risk stratification tool (TRST) for identify patients aged over 75 years, requiring the intervention of the MGT. This is a prospective, national, multicenter study including consecutive patients aged 75 years and older, hospitalized in emergency services and medical-surgical units in September and October 2013. The TRST was considered positive when the score was greater than 2 of 5 points. A supplementary question with binary answer (yes/no) was asked to MGT, in order to define if MGT intervention was useful. This issue has served as a "gold standard" for assessing the validity and predictive test performance. In emergency departments, the TRST was performed in 427 patients, 347 were positive. Results showed high sensitivity (79%), and poor specificity (19%) of the test in emergency units, showing that TRST did not permit to identify patients requiring MGT intervention. In contrast, the TRST seems more performant in medical-surgical (n=63 patients) units with good predictive performances (positive predictive value 90% and negative predictive value 87%). The specificity of TRST in emergency services is insufficient to generalize its use. However, performances of the TRST in other units are encouraging to propose a validation as part of a national research project.

Introduction: Culture and religion carry several prohibitions and taboos, especially in the Arab-Muslim societies, and are therefore involved in the sexual behavior and its perception, particularly that of women.
Objectives: To assess the married population's knowledge and opinion about female sexuality, and to estimate the impacts of religious and cultural factors on women's life experience and sexual practice in the Tunisian society.
Subjects and Methods: Our study is in an inquiry. We targeted 55 men and 55 women agreeing to participate in the study. They responded to an anonymous self-administered questionnaire comprising 18 items related to the influence of religion and culture on female sexuality. Among these items, some were binary responses (yes or no) assessing knowledge about female sexuality in the Tunisian religious and cultural context; 8 others explored the opinions of participants about female sexuality. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS software (15th version). Pearson's chi-square test and Fisher's exact association test were used for comparative study (P<0.05).
Results: The rate of participants who did not manage to reach the threshold of 50% of responses compliant with religious precepts and morals in the Tunisian context was 48.19%. According to 61.8% of participants, the woman should consider sex as a religious duty, and according to 79.1%, she always ought to have sex with her husband even when she did not wish to. This assertion was more frequently reported by women (P<0.001). Among the participants, 35.5% did not approve of the idea that women had the right to reach sexual pleasure, like men. Men recognized this right less often than women did (P<0.001). With reference to social morals, 43.6% of participants thought that the woman should always remain passive when having sex. This opinion was more common to women (P<0.001). There were 71.8% who thought that premature ejaculation was not a limiting factor for female pleasure. Virginity was considered by 63.6% of respondents as a feminine virtue to preserve. This response was statistically more frequent among males (P<0.001). For 55.5%, in addition to sodomy, a man could not afford all the sexual practices with his wife. This response was significantly more frequent in males (P<0.001). Regarding the subjective perception of female sexuality, the percentage of those who thought that women might simulate orgasm was 70.9%. Women thought more frequently than men that such a behavior could be justified to avoid hurting the man's pride (P<0.001).
Conclusion: The experience of sexuality within the Tunisian population is hampered by the prohibitions related to religion and culture, at least in some of its aspects. The reasons for that may be the ignorance of religious texts or their misinterpretation and the biased cultural transmission not followed by questioning or seeking deeper knowledge. The introduction of sex education in school programs could play a crucial role in the fight against the obstacles surrounding sexuality, in order to promote the welfare of woman, and thereby, that of the couple and the family.

Introduction: The objective of this study was to determine the impact of the preservation of sexual function in the long-term in patients treated with brachytherapy using a validated self-questionnaire and determine the role of different clinical and therapeutic parameters.
Material and Method: From December 1999 to June 2002, 157 consecutive patients treated by prostate brachytherapy have been selected for the study. A questionnaire of the EORTC "QLQ C30" assorted with the module "PR25" has been submitted before treatment and in the second quarter 2007. Hundred and twenty-eight patients returned their questionnaires (81.5 %). Statistical analysis was made with 64 patients. The median follow-up was 6 years (+/-0.57 year). The settings can interfere with sexual function were assessed: age, prostate volume, co-morbidity, adjuvant hormonal therapy, D 90, V 150 and V 240. Statistical analysis was made by way univariate ANOVA procedure and mode Chi(2) and multivariate (logistic regression), the variable being studied "conservation of sexual activity YES/NO".
Results: The conservation rate of sexual function was 64 %. No variable can explain the loss of sexual function is reflected statistically significant (p<0.05). The most informative variable in the statistical analysis was the D 90 but is not seen as likely by a significant lack of power (p=0.08 in univariate analysis and p=0.2 in multivariate analysis).
Conclusion: Brachytherapy for prostate preserved sexual function in the long-term in 64 % of cases (64 patients) and is therefore an attractive alternative for patients wishing to preserve it.

Theories of embodied cognition make the hypothesis that all cognitive operations, including high-level ones, are fundamentally rooted in the current state of the body and in the sensory-motor systems of the brain. Related experimental work has been concerned solely with the link between automatic cognitive processes and motor responses. This link has never been supposed to result from the production of verbal responses, such as the responses "yes" and "no." However, a great many tasks require a verbal response along with a motor response. In this study, we have demonstrated that cognitive and automatic evaluation of the valence of words involves a close link with the motor responses of "pull" and "push", as well as the verbal responses "yes" and "no" when the task requires answering "yes" or "no" whether there is the letter "a" in a word. Moreover, the results obtained show that the verbal responses "yes" and "no" interact with the motor responses of "pull" and "push". This interaction supports the idea that positive and negative verbal responses present a motor component, as contemplated in embodied cognition theories (Lakoff & Johnson, 1999; Scorolli & Borghi, 2007; Barsalou, 2008).

In Montreal a team of social workers has developed a scripto-visual method for breaking tobacco dependency. It is intended for functionally illiterate women between 18 and 35 years old with less than nine years of schooling. Before testing it on the target population, the team completed a developmental experiment with the goal of evaluating and measuring the efficacity of this method. The article presents the various components of the manual and summarizes the findings. The preparation of the manual naturally took into consideration the diverse factors affecting the decision to begin smoking as well as the arguments advanced for breaking the habit. These included: stressing the personal advantages (increased self-esteem and self-confidence); taking the guilt out of this behaviour by revealing its impact and the link between social and advertising incentives to smoke; offering women a means of verbalizing their situation; dedramatizing relapses to maintain self-respect; presenting specific devices to facilitate this step. Comic strips are the principal support mechanism. These present information on the causes and consequences of tobacco dependency and illustrate its effects. They also introduce practical ways to assist the target population in breaking the habit and provides examples of activities which boost motivation and will power. In order to analyse the manual, sessions were organized with potential users. They were invited to complete a short questionnaire, to participate in mock exercises and to comment on the visuals. Beyond the message conveyed, the intention was to measure interest and assimilation.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
