The article reports that service bureau 3Dimensional Engineering has become the first company in the southeast U.S. to utilize the most advanced rapid prototyping technology. The company will use the SLA-500, which can produce the largest prototype part and is the fastest machine in the industry, according to the company. The state-of-the-art stereolithography equipment will create three-dimensional solid and hollow prototypes of products ranging from medical instruments to plastic beeper covers and engine manifolds.
