RAPID prototyping, PROTOTYPES, TIME to market (New products), and PRINTING machinery & supplies
The article presents information on the Wohlers Report 2006 according to which an explosion of affordably priced three-dimensional printers fueled the third straight year of growth for rapid prototyping machines in 2005. The report has been issued by Wohlers Associates Inc. The report says that North America is the largest market for rapid prototyping, accounting for 42.3 percent of the systems installed worldwide.

The article reports on the purchase of four Nissei injection presses, with 400 tons clamping force, and on the addition of the third three-dimensional printer for the prototyping process of Raleigh Precision Products Inc. Raleigh Precision president Pete Smith says that with the added presses, the company will have a total of 31 machines in the first quarter of 2012. It adds that the products of the company include line of overmolded filter frames both for industrial and commercial buildings.
INDUSTRIAL designers, PRINTING machinery & supplies, INJECTION molding of plastics, and MOLDING of plastics
Options continue to increase for design engineers wanting to add three-dimensional printing capabilities to their arsenals, as vendors roll out new and updated models, and prices continue to fall. Stratasys Inc., 3D Systems Corp. and Z Corp. were among the prominent rapid-prototyping purveyors touting their wares at the recent National Design Engineering Show in Chicago, Illinois. Stratasys chose the event to introduce its latest-generation 3-D printer, the Dimension SST, at a cost of $34,900. It also slashed $5,000 off the sticker for its 2-year-old legacy Dimension printer, dropping the price to just below $25,000
