UCLA's Anderson Graduate School of Management offers CIOs and others in upper-level management the Managing the Information (MIR) short-term continuing education course designed to help executives keep up-to-date with technological developments. The course is geared towards senior IT executives and others interested in preparing for expanded responsibilities or moving into information technology. It may also interest individuals who would like to learn more about the field. MIR focuses on emerging technologies, management as well as leadership and creative thinking. Participants will learn about alternative platforms, groupware and workflow, client/server systems, prototyping tools, telecommunications and object-oriented programming. The course will be continually revised to reflect the most current technologies and strategies.
