Abstract:: Federal Reserve Board members Laurence H. Meyer and Edward M. Gramlich addressed antitrust and social security issues when making reports to the Congress on economic topics. Chmn Alan Greenspan updated Congress on US economic conditions and Roger W. Ferguson Jr discussed electronic commerce. The Commodity Exchange Act, money-laundering, mergers, financial legislation and the Year 2000 (Y2K) problem were also reported upon.
