A love story based on the lives of Ingmar Bergman's parents. Henrik Bergman, an impoverished Lutheran pastor, falls in love with a wealthy girl, Anna. Despite her mother's attempts to discourage the relationship, Anna's love grows stronger and the two eventually wed. A compelling look at the hardships, extreme faith and rigid discipline of Bergman's father and his lifelong commitment to his wife, this film sheds a powerful light onto the themes that have appeared in all of Bergman's best movies.

In this last installment of Steig Larsson's 'Dragon Tattoo Trilogy', Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace) lies in critical condition, a bullet wound to her head, in the intensive care unit of a Swedish city hospital. She's fighting for her life in more ways than one: if and when she recovers, she'll be taken back to Stockholm to stand trial for three murders. With the help of her friend, journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist), she will not only have to prove her innocence, but also identify and denounce those in authority who have allowed the vulnerable, like herself, to suffer abuse and violence. And, on her own, she will plot revenge - against the man who tried to kill her, and the corrupt government institutions that very nearly destroyed her life. Central Ohio Film Critics Association 2011 Nominee - Breakthrough Film Artist, Noomi Rapace A deeply satisfying conclusion to the trilogy. - The Washington Post A rousing, grueling, almost operatically scaled finale to the series. - Salon.com The movie features a great finish, where three movies' worth of subplots and characters dovetail into a breathtaking climax and final confrontation that is positively soul satisfying. - The Hollywood Reporter

He employs disgraced financial journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist) and the tattooed and troubled but resourceful computer hacker Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace) to investigate. When the pair link Harriet's disappearance to a number of grotesque murders from almost forty years ago, they begin to unravel a dark and appalling family history. Oscar-nominated director Jan Troell, one of Sweden's most acclaimed filmmakers, directs the biopic The Last Sentence. Set against the backdrop of WWII, The Last Sentence is based on the life of crusading journalist Torgny Segerstedt, editor-in-chief of one of Sweden's leading newspapers, highlighting his one-man battle against Nazism and his country's policy of appeasement to Hitler. With Sweden caught between Nazi Germany and Stalin's Russia, the country's elites chose a policy of neutrality and compliance, with few daring to speak up against the evil around them. Among those who did, nobody was as loud and as uncompromising as Segerstedt (Danish star Jesper Christensen, Nymphomaniac: Volume 1, Melancholia), one of the most prominent Swedish journalists of the 20th century. In the eyes of many of his countrymen, his pen was far more dangerous than the Nazi sword. Amidst the political turmoil of the era, Segerstedt's own personal life took a dramatic and scandalous turn as he entered into a very public affair with Maja Forssman, the Jewish wife of his close friend, the newspaper's publisher. Maja Forssman is played by Pernilla August, winner of the Cannes Best Actress Award for Bille August's Best Intentions. Jan Troell is best known to US audiences for his critically acclaimed film Everlasting Moments (also starring Jesper Christensen), as well as The New Land and The Emigrants (1972), starring Max Von Sydow and Liv Ullman, which received 5 Oscars nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Screenplay and Best Foreign Language Film. Beautifully filmed in black-and-white, The Last Sentence is a gripping tale of a man who risked his life for his beliefs and refused to be silenced. Winner! World Film Festival Montreal 2012 - Best Director Winner! Chicago Film Festival - Silver Hugo Award, Best Actress
