This film depicts the efforts of four Northwestern University Students to gain the freedom of Marcus Wiggins, who was conviced of murdering a man on the south side of Chicago in 1999. Working with the Center on Wrongful Convitions (a subunit of the Northwestern University School of Law), these four students view the crime scene, interview witnesses and family members, pour over countless documents, and logged huge number of miles accumulating evidence that not only was Mr. Wiggins wrongfully convicted, but that his conviction was based on deliberate police misconduct. Sadly, as the film ends the conviction of Mr. Wiggins had not been overturned.
