A database of previously-published English translations of official edicts and memorials from nineteenth century China's Qing dynasty, spanning from the Macartney Mission in 1793 to the abdication of the last emperor in 1912. The Peking Gazette provides insight into the Manchu state and its subjects as they grappled with imperial decline, re-engaged with the wider world, and began mapping the path to China's contemporary rise. Contains the voices of Manchu emperors, Han officials, gentry leaders, and peasant spokesmen as they discussed and debated the most important political, social, and cultural movements, trends, and events of their day, and provides insight into the policies and attitudes of the emperors, the ideas and perspectives of the officials, and the mentality and worldviews of the Han, Mongol, Manchu, Muslim, and Tibetan subjects of the Great Qing Empire.

"The Anti-Eviction Mapping Project is a data-visualization, data analysis, and storytelling collective documenting the dispossession of San Francisco Bay Area residents upon gentrifying landscapes. Through digital maps, oral history work, film, murals, and community events, the project renders connections between the nodes and effects of new entanglements of global capital, real estate, high tech, and political economy. It studies the displacement of people but also of complex social worlds as certain spaces become desirable to such entanglements. Maintaining antiracist and feminist analyses as well as decolonial methodology, the project creates tools and disseminates data that contributes to collective resistance and movement building."--About window.

The Digital Yiddish Theatre Project is a research consortium dedicated to the application of digital humanities tools and methods to the study of Yiddish theatre and drama. Founded in 2012, the DYTP is an experiment in scholarly collaboration across dozens of fields, methodologies, and institutions. Our fifteen members include theatre researchers, historians, literary scholars, musicologists, film scholars, librarians, archivists, performers, musicians, and independent scholars who are among the leading scholars of Yiddish theatre, drama, and related fields. The Digital Yiddish Theatre Project was formed in recognition of the linguistic, cultural, and geographic complexity of the Yiddish theatre, and of the ability of emerging digital humanities tools and methodologies to address that complexity. Together, we hope to address the full range of Yiddish theatrical production, from its beginnings to the present day. This site represents the first fruits of our collaboration: a place for us to share and discuss our findings with each other and with a wider public audience of those interested in learning more about the Yiddish stage.
