A romantic, social drama about the clash of values in Socialist Egypt through the story of Naʻīmah. Naʻīmah and her fiancé, Salāmah, sell newspapers in the streets. One day, Naʻīmah finds out that she is heir to a large fortune. She moves into a new house, and she and Salāmah get married. However, Salāmah isn't happy as a rich person, and prefers to return to his old life.
