Papers pertain primarily to topics in physics and include notes, overhead transparencies from his lectures, reprints, articles, memos, proposals, correspondence, charts, and drawings. Subjects include electric dipole moment, diode lasers, and dye lasers; and there are some materials pertaining to departmental matters. Also included in the collection is the 1989 paper by P. Galison, B. Hevly, and R. Lowen, "Controlling the Monster - Stanford and the Growth of Physics Research, 1935-1962."

This collection consists of aerial photographs of the Stanford University campus and lands taken by Hatfield Aerial Surveys, a firm owned by Adrian R. Hatfield. Of notes are images of areas of the campus now the site of the Stanford Shopping Center, the Medical Center, the industrial park, and faculty housing developments. Some of the images include the neighboring towns of Palo Alto and Menlo Park.

The papers document the life and work of the married, collaborative team of Helen Mayer Harrison and Newton Harrison, leading pioneers in the eco-art movement. The collection contains a small amount of biographical material and personal correspondence. The bulk of the material documents the Harrisons’ many projects and includes correspondence, designs, financial records, sketches, planning, blueprints, notes, contracts and agreements, schedules, and photographic material. The collection also contains a significant amount of material pertaining to the Harrisons’ performances, exhibitions, and presentations. Also included are business records; Newton’s early work; research; individual files (files kept on colleagues, students, and friends); records documenting the Harrisons’ time at University of California, San Diego and University of California, Santa Cruz; writings; interviews and profiles; and publicity such as posters and fliers announcing conferences, exhibitions, lectures, performances, and workshops. Other formats present in the collection include audiovisual (Series 17) and born-digital material (Series 18), including email. There is also a small amount of Fluxus artwork.

Collection contains prints (mostly black and white) of Stanford presidents, faculty, trustees, staff, students on campus, campus lands, and construction, as well as a series of mounted images from Stanford Seen, an exhibition of Holub’s photographs held in 1964. Other topics include a sit-in at Dr. Sterling’s office 1966; photos of Prof. Moffatt Hancock and prints Holub made of Hancock’s negatives of campus scenes; images of Chris Stinehour, stone carver working on the Quad; and prints Holub made from glass plate negatives of historic images of Stanford. Collection also includes prints of images used in the book LEO HOLUB PHOTOGRAPHER, which documents his whole career.

Contains correspondence, manuscripts by Ginsberg and other writers, business records, notebooks and journals, clipping files, books, periodicals, audiotapes, videotapes, photographs, and posters. Accessions received in 1998, 1999, 2002 and 2004 totaling some 154 linear feet have not yet been processed.
Accession 2011-038, .25 linear foot, includes letters from Alan Ansen, Charles Bukowski, Robert Creeley, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Louis Ginsberg, John Holmes, Norman Mailer, Michael McClure, Kate Orlovsky, Kenneth Rexroth, Gary Snyder, Anne Waldman, Philip Whalen, and others. Also included is "A commonplace book, " a bound manuscript notebook by Ginsberg, 1946.
