  • Teresinha Soares, claro no dia / Rodrigo Moura.
Chronicles written by artist Teresinha Soares between 1967 and 1983, published in three different newspapers of Belo Horizonte (Estado de Minas, Horizonte & Jornal do Automóvel Clube). They document her life experiences as wife and avant-garde artist, which despite her religious training was recognized as a muse of sexual liberation in the context of the society of Minas Gerais, the state where she was born in 1927. Comprising a selection of texts by art curator Rodrigo Moura, Therese's writings do not appear in a chronological way, but follow a thematic approach, dealing with everyday life, her work as an artist and her many trips. Therese, above all, was a woman ahead of her time.

Divided into six series, the book presents the works developed by the artist, in which the visual and discursive mixes with a mystical and playful dimension. The publication includes, in addition to the images of the works, a text by Evangelina Seiler, curator of the show that gives rise to the book, quotes from artists and intellectuals such as Caetano Veloso and Marcel Proust, and texts by the artist herself. Rosângela is recognized by the deconstruction of image and memory, time and space, always inserting critical and sensorial layers.

  • Andar por São Paulo faz com que São Paulo tambem ande em nós / Tadeu Chiarelli
  • Borrando os limites da cor: negros e brancos na Pinacoteca de São Paulo / Alexandre Araujo Bispo
  • Obras
  • Listas de obras.
Tadeu Chiarelli, curator of the exhibition, the last of his management, will bring together works (recent or not) of artists whose works manifest peculiarities of living in the city of São Paulo. "São Paulo is the synthesis of all the cities of the continent, displaying its obstinate and excessive contrasts, the feeling to live in eternal longing for a reality less bitter and of more solidarity. To live in São Paulo is being in constant displacement, is almost to permanently experience the city in glimpses a fickle bunch, glimpsing order out of chaos, or chaos in chaos". Participating artists include: Sidney Amaral, Dora Longo Bahia, Victor Brecheret, Peter de Brito, Rafael Carneiro, Leda Catunda, Flávio Cerqueira, Lia Chaia, Raphael Escobar, Renata Felinto, Luiz Gê, Carmela Gross, Evandro Carlos Jardim, Jaime Lauriano, Marcelo Moscheta, Zed Nesti, Nazareth Pacheco, Moisés Patrício, Daniel de Paula, Fernando Piola, Florian Raiss, Gustavo Von Ha, Chico Zelesnikar, among other paulistano artists who live or lived in the city.

  • Biografias.
The title "The many and the one" is the basis of this first exhibition organized from one of the largest and most important art collections in Brazil: "Andrea and José Olympio Pereira". In conducting the curatorship, the renowned American critic Robert Storr, with the support of Paulo Miyada, curator of the Tomie Ohtake Institute, opted to privilege individually powerful works, with their own power, regardless of possible dialogues that they can establish with other works and productions. For the exhibition, which will occupy all the exhibition spaces of the Tomie Ohtake Institute, the curator selected about three hundred pieces - painting, drawing, sculpture, installation and video - from more than one hundred Brazilian artists, among more than two thousand national and international works belonging to the private collection. According to him, it is an ensemble that, in addition to its monumentality, features iconic works from the production of many artists. The exhibition, therefore, provides a refined look at the contemporary Brazilian artistic panorama and its previous moment, when focusing on the production of the 1950s until today. "We are living a pluralistic era and also a moment of exceptional diversity and hybridity ... Nowhere is this pluralism richer, more heterogeneous and more fruitful than in the Americas; in no place in the Americas there is greater artistic effervescence of all kinds than in Brazil. "In the cast, a group of historical names such as Alfredo Volpi, Ivan Serpa, Lygia Clark, Lygia Pape, Mira Schendel, Willys de Castro, Helio Oiticica, Amilcar de Castro and Geraldo de Barros. Already in the central axis of the exhibition, which includes the years 1970 to 1990, there are artists who stand out for the importance they play in the collection, be it the volume of works, the role they play in the contemporary art narrative or the variety of media and languages ??that explore, such as Waltercio Caldas, Iran Holy Spirit, Anna Maria Maiolino, Paulo Bruscky, Miguel Rio Branco, Adriana Varejão, Tunga, Carmela Gross, Claudia Andujar, Luiz Braga, Leonilson, Jac Leirner, José Resende, Daniel Senise, Sandra Cinto , Ernesto Neto, Paulo Monteiro, Marcos Chaves, Rivane Neuenschwander, Rosangela Rennó, among others. Finally, a selection of artists who have emerged most recently, showing the possible developments and paths of contemporary art, such as Erika Verzutti, Marina Rheingantz, Daniel Steegman, André Komatsu, Eduardo Berliner, Tatiana Blass and Bruno Dunley.

  • Lista de obras = List of works.
The catalogue comprises three unpublished essays by José Augusto Ribeiro, curator of the exhibition, Rafael Cardoso, historian of art and design and Ana Belluzzo, Professor and art critic. The book includes color reproductions of the works presented, an extensive illustrated chronology and a compilation of already published texts about the trajectory of the artist. This exhibition commemorates the 120th anniversary of the birth of one of the leading artists of Brazilian Modernism, Di Cavalcanti. The selection brings together more than 200 artworks including paintings, drawings, illustrations and mural projects produced during a career that spanned six decades. The show draws attention to the variety of visual solutions that the artist adopted in portraying Bohemian life, samba and the social types that, as he saw it, composed the image of a Brazil that is both modern and popular.ʺ--Verso Cover.
