Ensayo de clasificación de postales del fotógrafo Jesús Cubela / Dr. Carlos E. Martínez y Hugo Mancebo Decaux.
Jesus Cubela (Galicia, Spain 1866- Uruguay 1925) was a precursor of photojournalism and street photography in the Rio de la Plata area. His photographs were published in the press of the time, and also in the format of postcards and stereographs. They were also used as propaganda in boxes of cigars and cigarettes. He worked in Paraguay and opened photography studios in Argentina and Uruguay. From the last one is his Album de Playas Uruguayas (Album of Uruguayan Beaches), with postcards of the city and resort of Punta del Este on the Atlantic Coast in the Maldonado Department of southeastern Uruguay.
