Artist Kip Fulbeck continues his project, begun in 2001, of photographing persons who identify as “Hapa”—of mixed Asian/Pacific Islander descent—as a means of promoting awareness and positive acceptance of multiracial identity. As a follow-up to "kip fulbeck: part asian, 100% hapa", his groundbreaking 2006 exhibition, hapa.me pairs the photographs and statements from that exhibition with contemporary portraits of the same individuals and newly written statements, showing not only their physical changes in the ensuing years, but also changes in their perspectives and outlooks on the world. "The catalogue includes 51 art works-- paintings, graphics and decorative-applied arts from the private collection of Maciej Radziwiłł as well as from the funds of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus. It is about a third half of all the exhibition displays among which there are also old editions from the National Library of Belarus and the documents of the last century from the collection of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus related to the Radziwiłł's inheritance. Im April 2012 begann der Düsseldorfer Künstler Thomas Klefisch Selbstportraits zu malen. Erstmal nichts Ungewöhnliches, ist doch das Selbstportrait durch den Künstler immer verfüg- und vor allem bestimmbar.0Zu Beginn der Aktion war Düsseldorf zwar noch nicht die Stadt in Deutschland, in der die meisten Selfies entstehen, dies sollte erst zwei Jahre später durch das Time Magazin postuliert werden. Auch die darauf folgende Ausstellung im Ehrenhof kuratiert durch Alain Bieber mit dem Namen 'Ego update' fand 2014 statt. Millionen von hochgeladenden Selfies stehen 60 Selbstportraits von Klefisch gegenüber, eine Reflexion über Inflation der Bilder, Vereinzelung und Distanz.
