Córki dancingu: Follow a pair of carnivorous mermaid sisters drawn ashore to explore life on land in an alternate 1980s Poland. Their tantalizing siren songs and otherworldly auras make them overnight sensations as nightclub singers in the half-glam, half-decrepit world of Smoczyńskas imagining. The director gives fierce teeth to her viscerally sensual, darkly feminist twist on Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Mermaid", in which the girls' bond is tested and their survival threatened after one sister falls for a human.

Viva Maria: A short documentary, directed by Agnieszka Smoczyńska in 2010 while she was a film student at the Wajda School in Warsaw, devoted to Maria Fołtyn, eminent Polish opera singer and director and founder of the Moniuszko Music Lovers Society, with music from the opera Halka by Stanislaw Moniuszko. Today, when Fołtyn is losing her voice and past her prime, she focuses on didactic work, educating her successor, a symbolic story of handing over the voice.

Although Dido Elizabeth Belle, an eighteenth-century English woman of mixed race, is raised in privilege by her aristocratic great-uncle and his wife, she is denied a proper social standing because of her skin color. Born in Częstochowa in 1882, Huberman was a Polish Jewish violinist, one of greatest virtuosos of the first half of the 20th century. The film is also about Huberman the politician, social activist, writer, teacher, sponsor of the arts, philanthropist and citizen of the world. In 1936, Huberman founded the Palestine Orchestra known today as The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Holocaust survivor Samuel Willenberg returns to his native Poland to visit the places where he lived during World War II, beginning with Opatow. After the war, Eva emigrated to France and was disinherited by her father for marrying a Jewish man. She suffered a series of mental breakdowns beginning in the 1970s.
