A series of short films directed by Anzola (from 1969-1988) on a variety of themes using different methods, from a short documentary in color of the progress of aluminum from raw ore to products (Aleurope), to a ribbing of machismo (Las chicas del can) baseball as a national mania (El beisbol) social commentary (El hombre invisible) workers' efforts to form a cooperative (Pedregal) and a protest film on surviving in the world of man (Santa Teresa).

A mixture of stills, early film footage and new film which shows how Anzola's father was interested in film and in the entertainment world. It gives a picture of Venezuelan social life and customs in the early part of the 20th century. It the center of the story is the filming of a radio production, complete with methods of making sound effects, of a mystery called "El misterio de los ojos escarlata".
