Mr. Fāḍil (Maḥmūd al-Milījī) is an alcoholic and a gambler. His victims are his wife (Amīnah Rizq) and two daughters Fāṭimah (Shādiyah) and Amal (Suhayr Fakhrī). Shortly after his suicide, his wife dies leaving the two daughters to face an unknown destiny. Faṭimah hopes to marry Ḥasan (Muḥsin Sarḥān), the son of the manager of the company (Sirāj Munīr) in which her father worked. But Ḥasan goes to France to pursue his studies.

A film about the difficulties of drug addiction. Khalid loses his wife and son in an accident that causes him to seek relief and escape through addictive drugs. Realizing he has become seriously addicted, Khalid seeks help from an old doctor friend and his daughter, with whom Khalid begins to form a relationship.
