The stage is set in a Tokyo art museum in 20xx. With a major war going on in Europe, masterpieces of painting are evacuated one after another to Japan. Brothers and sisters meet after a long interval, in front of these evacuated paintings, and discuss their lives. Japanese contemporary societal and family issues are portrayed against the backdrop of war.

This documentary is about the 3rd and 4th generation Korean residents of Japan who are students of the Chosen Elementary, Middle, and High school in Hokkaido, Japan. It follows the students through one year of the eleven-year national education program. Rather than focusing on special occasions or issues, it reveals what it is like to live in Japan as Korean-Japanese by describing their everyday lives.
