Consists of abstract (19 p.) of formal consulting report, newspaper clippings, typescritps, a 5 Pfennig paper note, ration card, five 5 franc stamps on hotel bill and 12 franc stamp on train ticket, other travel-related items (e.g. customs declaration, itinerary, vaccination statement, financial arrangements, post card), government permits, listing of medical units of EUCOM, officers roster of the Medical Division of EUCOM, European Command hospitals list, daily bed status report, organization chart of the Medical Division, many letters regarding travel arrangements, reprint of a 1946 article by H. Bayle (de Paris), map of Switzerland, 2 wine labels, etc. The focus is on a 1949 tour of inspection of Army medical facilities in EUCOM. Many of the documents are carbon copies, typescripts, or mimeographs; entries for selected correspondents in this record. Also included in correspondence are descriptions of Berlin airlift and related social and economic conditions. Includes transcription of text from Russian momuments in Berlin or Vienna with English translation and the Cyrillic.
Wesson's assignment was to evaluate urologic treatments being used in hospitals and dispensaries, efficiency of personnel on the urologic section, equipment and its care, and the resident training program in hospitals. The consultants report includes suggestions on treatment of non-specifici urethritis, subacute prostatitis, epididymitis, trigonitis and verumontanitis.
