The finding of a lost portfolio with a great amount of money becomes the subject of four comic stories. First the man who finds the money blows it in bar in Seville, then it moves on to the scatterbrained wife of an employee of a French railway station. Third it winds up in Salamanca with a civil employee submissive to the tyranny of his authoritarian and despotic wife. And fourth it becomes the property of a pathetic bullfighter.
