Summary:
Celebrating the 200th birthday of Frédéric Chopin, this major co-production not only tells the story of the composer's brief life but brings together some of the world's greatest pianists playing excerpts from some of his best-known works. The bonus disc features Garrick Ohlsson (winner of the 1970 Chopin International Competition) with Antoni Wit and the Warsaw Philharmonic in complete performances of both of Chopin's piano concertos.
