Note:
Saint Walburga, born in Devonshire about 710, died in Heidenheim, Germany, 777. Invoked as special patroness against hydrophobia, and in storms, and also by sailors. Referred to as Gauburge in the region of Perche, France, thus the possible source of the Mss.
